Jo qualified from Dorset House in 1989. Following a 2 year rotational post she moved to King's College Hospital to specialise in neurology. Whilst at King's Jo worked on the newly established acute stroke unit and gained experience in research looking into early prognostic indicators for stroke recovery.

Her clinical specialist post at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neuroscience provided Jo with invaluable experience in neuromedicine, neurosurgery and neuropsychiatry in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Whilst at NHNN Jo developed an interest in seating complex neurological clients and ran and managed the departmental seating clinic.

For the past 8 years Jo has been a self employed OT. During this time she has worked with Hobbs Rehabilitation, providing community based rehab.
