Margaret has been qualified as an occupational therapist since 2002 with extensive experience in the field of neurorehabilitation. She has worked across hospital, out-patient and community settings within the NHS and private sector. Her special interests include assessment and treatment of persons in prolonged disorders of consciousness, upper limb rehabilitation and vocational rehabilitation.

Margaret was an instrumental part of a Northern Ireland Occupational Therapy group that devised a visual screening tool for use within Northern Ireland and she sits on the committee of the Northern Ireland Occupational Therapy in Neurology group, and is also a member of the Northern Ireland Multidisciplinary Association of Stroke Teams, and COTSSIP.

Margaret has also undertaken various masters level modules at the University of Ulster.
