Stef qualified as occupational therapist over 10 years ago, from Brunel University in London. Over the past ten years she has gained experience working in rehabilitation, both ward based and in the community, and working with clients with acquired brain injury. She worked on two neurology rehabilitation units and has worked as an occupational therapist on a community based neurology team. Stef was employed as a care co-ordinator for a private company that supported people in private tenancies many of the service users had acquired brain injuries and were young. She gained experience working with physical disabilities and was part of a complex care team in the community.

She has acquired a lot of knowledge of working with clients who have mental health issues. Stef has gained skills working on specialist wards as well as acute mental health wards. Part of her role was facilitating CBT and relaxation techniques. As a basic grade, she worked in older people's mental health some of the clients had dual diagnosis which included neurological problems. At the moment she works with students who have mental health issues, learning/cognitive problems, as well as disabilities.

Stef has also gained some paediatric experience working with young people who are on the autistic spectrum, and has gained quite a lot of skills working with young people with sensory problems.
