About Us

reach was established in 1994 by Heather Batey and Philip Feldman, who identified a gap in the delivery of neuro-occupational rehabilitation and pioneered a home and community based service for child and adult survivors of moderate and severe traumatic brain injury. It is now the largest private sector organisation dedicated to the provision of rehabilitation at home.

Our mission is to provide a high-quality, cost effective service to enable individuals to attain their full potential.

At Reach we believe that people who have experienced traumatic brain injury deserve every possible chance to lead a normal life and re-acquire the kind of skills that many of us take for granted every day. Our 20 years of experience demonstrates that the rehabilitation process provides the best possible opportunity to improve and restore their quality of life.

Our approach optimises the use of all sectors - statutory, voluntary, educational, vocational and independent - offering huge advantages to the client and the funding of, possibly, life-long care.

Under the expert leadership of Managing Director Heather Batey, Reach is a national company employing regionally-based Programme Managers. These guide locally based Personal Programme Assistants who deliver the one-to-one programmes which are tailored to the client's individual needs.

The start of 2021 opened a new chapter in our story, when Reach was acquired by handl group, a leading brand in the medico-legal and insurance sector. We look forward to a bright future of continued success and positive outcomes from our innovative approach to rehabilitation, as part of the handl family.
