Reach Personal Injury is a leading provider of brain injury rehabilitation, dedicated to delivering expert care directly in clients’ homes. We are expanding our team and seeking qualified Neuro-Occupational Therapists (N-OTs) to join us in the East Midlands and South East of England.
About the Role
We are looking for experienced N-OTs to provide rehabilitation services to clients with traumatic brain injuries (TBI). This role is crucial in delivering personalised, effective rehabilitation plans that maximise client recovery in their everyday environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Assessment & Rehabilitation Planning: Conduct Reach functional assessments to understand client’s needs and develop tailored rehabilitation plans based on best practices in occupational therapy and clinical psychology.
- Supervise Clinical Rehabilitation Assistants (CRAs): Oversee CRAs who implement rehabilitation plans, providing regular guidance and ensuring quality standards. This will include face-to-face or virtual meetings on a fortnightly basis.
- Collaboration with Clinical Team: Work alongside Reach’s Managing Director, Clinical Lead, and other team members to review client progress and adjust plans as necessary.
- Family Communication: Keep families informed on progress and engage them in the rehabilitation process.
- Meeting Participation: Attend meetings, case reviews, or conferences related to client care, sometimes including interactions with healthcare professionals, educational staff, or legal representatives.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Keep detailed records of the CRA activities and the client’s rehabilitation journey. Deliver timely progress reports every 8 weeks.
Role Requirements
- Qualifications: At least 5 years of post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist, specialising in neurological rehabilitation (preferably TBI).
- Skills & Experience: Experience working in community or home-based settings. Strong communication and organisational skills, with a track record of effective client care and rehabilitation delivery.
- Travel: Ability to travel to clients’ homes and other venues in the East Midlands or South East of England region.
