Fiona qualified as an occupational therapist in 1992 and gained a postgraduate MSc in Rehabilitation from St George's, University of London in 2009. She has worked in the fields of neurology and complex disabilities in inpatient and community settings. She left The Children's Trust in February 2013. During her time at The Children's Trust she was Head of Occupational Therapy and since 2006 set up and managed national Brain Injury Community Team for children as well as being instrumental in implementing the Tadworth Brain Injury Coordinator posts.

She is currently working as an independent Occupational Therapist, providing OT intervention for children with neuro disability and adults with brain injury as well as working for Reach, and has presented posters at European and International conferences and spoken at the OT conference and special interest groups. She has also had a paper published in the British Journal of Occupational Therapy, and has written and co presented a masterclass on paediatric brain injury for the College of Occupational Therapists.

She was chair of the South East Region Children young people and families special interest group for 4 years stepping down in 2018.

Her current interests include evidenced based practise and outcomes of brain injury in childhood and adults.
