Sophie qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2013 completing the Pre-Registration Occupational Therapy Masters Course at Sheffield Hallam University. Her first post was at Salford Royal Hospital where she started to develop her skills for working in neurological rehabilitation as a Rotational Occupational Therapist throughout the hospital and community, spending the majority of her time working on neurological wards and in neurological rehabilitation.

Sophie's time here sparked her passion for working with people with neurological conditions in the community leading her to move to a static post at the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team in Leeds in 2016. During her time in Leeds, Sophie has developed her skills and knowledge in cognitive rehabilitation and vocational rehabilitation.Her interest in working with people with Acquired Brain Injuries developed and she began working with Reach in 2019.

More recently Sophie has turned her skills to supporting the rehabilitation for people with Long Covid within the Leeds Covid Rehabilitation Team, one of the first of its kind in the country.
